CAN I SET A MINIMUM ON MY ITEMS THAT SELL ON MARKET DAY?
Only jewelry and automobiles have a reserve. Since there are many items to be sold on Auction Day, all items must be sold without reserve. This allows the auction to maintain a reasonable duration of time. Please keep in mind that our auction marketing will bring the buyer to the auction.
WHEN I SELL MY HOUSE AT AUCTION, MAY I SET A RESERVE?
Yes! Although a home that is sold absolute, or to the highest bidder, is a great marketing strategy, a reserve may be placed on the home. The reserve is not disclosed to the public and the home will be fully marketed to obtain the highest price.
ARE HOMES SOLD AT AUCTION TYPICALLY FORECLOSURES OR IN NEED OF REPAIR?
Absolutely not! Homes sold at auction are typically good homes that need good owners. Sellers may opt to hold a real estate auction verses a typical listing so that they may sell the property faster with less selling costs. The properties sold in the past were from owners who are downsizing, settling an estate, selling investment homes or just want to sell quickly.
WHAT IF BUYERS CAN'T ATTEND ON AUCTION DAY?
We do allow for absentee bidding. Buyers usually preview the items personally before the sale, leave a deposit for the max they want to bid. The Buyer will need to fill out a absentee bid form and the auction staff will bid competitively on their behalf. See the Absentee Bidding link for more information and the form.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTABLE?
Kansas City Auction companies accepts cash, local check, Visa and Master card at our weekly auctions. On-site auctions typically accept only cash and local check.
